Meopham based Net-Tex Industries has been acquired by animal feed supplier Rumenco.

Formed in 1983, Net-Tex Industries supplies a range of products to the veterinary and agricultural industry. Rumenco, based in Burton-on-Trent, has supplied livestock farmers with feed supplements, minerals and nutritional products for more than 40 years.

Net-Tex chairman Don Yates said: “There is a very good level of strategic fit between the two companies. Both are successful manufacturers of different but complementary product ranges.”

Leading regional law firm Brachers, based in Maidstone, advised on the undisclosed deal alongside the Dartford office of Barnes Roffe LLP.

After the deal has been completed, Rumenco and Net-Tex Industries will continue as independent businesses.

Brachers’ head of corporate and commercial Phil Cunningham said: “Don has been a client of the firm for a number of years and it was a pleasure to advise him on the sale of Net-Tex.

“The deal required us to work closely with Barnes Roffe and it was great to achieve a successful outcome. The Net-Tex business has continued to go from strength to strength since its inception and we wish Rumenco every success in continuing to build on its achievements.”
