The Basepoint operated business centres – The Old Rectory in Northfleet and The Joiners Shop in Chatham – have joined forces to host a free networking event, called The Networking Hub, at The Joiners Shop on Wednesday, March 7. The event is open to all local businesses, as well as licensees.

The Networking Hub is a Basepoint initiative that has been created to give local businesses and entrepreneurs the chance to network and learn valuable business tips from the event speakers. The speakers will be Claire Bridger, of the business development department at Mid Kent College, who will be speaking about apprenticeships, business training courses, business coaching and consultancy as well as Charlie Adams, a comedy writer, who will be speaking about using humour as a business tool.

Michelle Gagie, centre manager of The Old Rectory, said: “The first Networking Hub we held last year at The Base, a Basepoint operated centre in Dartford, attracted approximately 50 business, so there is a clear demand for this kind of thing. It’s important for small businesses to broaden their contacts and meet other likeminded people, and that’s where we feel we can really add value – by bringing the local business community together at a structured event, all free of charge!”

John Luchford, Centre Manager at The Joiners Shop, added: “We’re looking forward to hosting the event – our first Networking Hub – having heard about the success of others. We’re hoping that our creative environment will prove to be an inspirational setting for all those who attend.”

The Networking Hub will be held from 12.00 pm – 2pm and lunch will be served. To register, please email northfleet@basepoint.co.uk or chatham@basepoint.co.uk or visit www.basepoint.co.uk for further information.
