Castle Corporate Finance is celebrating after walking away with a hat-trick of awards at the Insider’s South East Dealmakers Awards 2012.

It was the culmination of an eventful day for Castle, with the team closing a significant local business sale earlier that same day.

The Tonbridge-based firm say they thoroughly enjoyed their evening at Copthorne Effingham Park near Gatwick, with director, Mike Norrie, winning Corporate Finance Adviser of the Year and the principal award, Dealmaker of the Year – which were presented to him by Gyles Brandreth.

Norrie – who launched Castle Corporate Finance with Colin Harvey in 2008 – was praised at the ceremony as a “real mainstay of the market”.

“We were extremely proud to win these high profile awards,” he said. “Last year was busy for us and this year has started well. We work very closely with business owners, guiding them through what is always an emotional process, helping them to achieve the best outcome for them and their company.”

The team was also named as lead adviser on the Deal of the Year, the £18 million sale of Sidcup-based energy procurement and carbon strategy consultancy, Power Efficiency to Balfour Beatty PLC.

“I am proud that Power Efficiency is a Castle Corporate Finance deal,” said Norrie. “The shareholders are a great bunch of guys and thoroughly deserve the award.”
