A large development company is in talks with the drug company about selling its discovery park.
It has emerged that a major property consortium in advanced talks with Pfizer about purchasing its research and development plant in Sandwich.
The developers London and Metropolitan would purchase the facility so it can be marketed to new potential buyers around the world.
The company has been involved in similar projects such the redevelopment of Spitalfields Market in London and a major business park in Oxfordshire.
Pfizer announced last February that it would be pulling out of Sandwich which at the time employed around 2,400 people.
